Want to Become a
Foster Home?
Over the years the intake of animals into our care has doubled, we always need caring people to become fosterers. These animals need a loving, warm heart and home to help them understand that not everyone is a bad person, to encourage them to be sociable, and to provide the essential care they need to be healthy enough to find them a forever home.
It’s a big responsibility and comes with a few requirements and checks from us before we are able to release an animal into your care.

So, You Want to Foster? Let’s Chat!
First off - thank you! Fostering is one of the most vital roles in rescue, and without people like you, we simply couldn’t do what we do. It’s rewarding, emotional, sometimes messy, often hilarious, and always, always life-changing (for both you and the animal).
What Does Fostering Involve?
Foster animals can be with you for a few weeks or several months. Some just need a place to crash until they find their forever home. Others come to us scared, poorly, or in desperate need of rehabilitation. You’ll be their safe space, their first step towards a better life.
We also rarely get much notice - you might get a phone call asking if you can take an animal in need that day!
This means:
-
Taking them to regular vet appointments at our vets.
-
Helping them learn how to “dog” or “cat” again - whether that’s toilet training, socialising, or just teaching them that humans can be kind.
-
Understanding that we can’t always predict their personality or behaviours. They might not be house-trained. They might not like other animals. They might be terrified of everything. That’s where you come in.
-
You’ll need a space to isolate them if necessary - especially if you have other pets or children. Some animals come to us from horrific situations. They need time, patience, and understanding. And while we’ll always be here to support you, as a fosterer, you are their person. There’s nowhere else for them to go.
What We Cover
Wings and Paws covers all costs - vet bills, food, supplies. You provide the love, the care, the patience, and a little bit of space on your sofa (or your entire bed, depending on how cheeky they are).
Fostering isn’t always easy. It can be challenging, emotional, and sometimes exhausting. But seeing an animal transform in your care? Watching them go from scared and broken to confident and happy? That’s priceless.
If you’re still interested (and we really hope you are!), drop us a message using the form below with your details. Let’s chat and see if we can find you the perfect foster match. 🐾
